Prototype design of an interactive website
A visual and societal analysis of digital design trends
My History of Internet Aesthetics is an analysis of five prominent digital design trends spanning the nearly three decades since the Internet’s invention. The prototype functions and appears as if the user is literally scrolling through time, with the website’s style changing according to the years discussed. Visual and textual elements show the hallmarks of the design styles, as well as how they are intertwined with the zeitgeist of the time, including social media, politics, and the rise of Big Tech to reveal the interwoven relationship between society and technology.
